Little Pleasures in Villefranche-sur-Mer
When the sun began to set I was finally able to grab my brushes and brighten up the tiny canvas with summery colours. The beach wasn't cramped anymore, so there was little chance that someone would come along and distract me. Wrong! Shortly after I started painting, a few qurious French kids approached me and tried to figure out what was being pictured: "C'est le visage... c'est une plage..." They didn't ask a question but kept watching me from the sea, also checked up my progress several times. Some beach stones stuck perfectly to the canvas. I wondered if these little cuties liked what they saw. "Speak English?", - asked a girl standing in the water. "Yes", - I smiled at her. "Beautiful", - she said.
